Our Name.

Pine & Palm Productions originates from our founders' roots, melding Oregon's Pine (John) and Hawaii's cherished Palm trees (Jessie) into a name that resonates deeply with our personal narratives. Our decision to conclude with "Productions" reflects our diverse array of services, extending beyond photography and videography. Alongside media creation and marketing, our offerings encompass graphic design and social media management. We aspire to be a comprehensive solution for all your content creation necessities, ensuring a one-stop destination for your diverse needs.

Our Story.

Since meeting in 2015, our founders discovered a shared passion for photography, occasionally undertaking freelance projects for diverse clientele. However, their primary commitments remained entrenched in the food and beverage industry. With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hawai‘i's tourism and local economy faced closures, resulting in the unfortunate loss of employment for both John and Jess.

This unexpected turn of events prompted a reevaluation of their professional trajectories, leading them to pivot towards a new entrepreneurial endeavor. Despite initial reservations regarding the uncertain climate, their leap of faith has proven immensely fruitful. As Pine & Palm Productions ventures into its third year, a landscape ripe with opportunities for expansion unfolds. We are deeply grateful for the courage to embrace this new chapter and for the invaluable connections fostered since our inception.

  • Pine & Palm Productions supports our local community 100%. From capturing a family portrait to creating marketing content for small businesses, we love staying rooted in our local community. Our business has even been able to work side-by-side with our community’s keiki (kids) and non-profit organizations to not only capture their memories but also budget in donations to giveback to the organizations and our precious local community.

    We are so thankful to have roots in the Maui community and love giving back in any way we can.
